Since 2008, the Eixample Esquerre has a unique bakery specializing in Bulgarian household products. Banitsa comes from the hand of its owner, Mihaela, who decided to import the best of the cuisine of his country in Barcelona.
The bakery prepare dail cakes (gluten free) and its flagship product: the Banitsa. These are very typical buns from Bulgaria that are used to serve on Christmas Eve, but here we can enjoy them every day of the year in several versions sweet and salty.
At the local you can also purchase a selection of accurate Bulgarian products as rosehip jam, jam vishna (icing), and an excellent range of Turkish sweets.
